While the vegetables in the garden are struggling with heat, drought, floods, flea beetles (*@%$) and a host of other far from perfect growing conditions, the greenhouse has exploded. I really packed it tight this year with basil, onions, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, what I thought were also melons but apparently are pumpkins, and sunflowers to attract the bees. It is far from organized, kind of like my life, but it is thriving and beautiful in its wildness.

Surprise! It is a pumpkin and not a cantaloupe.

Hold on tight.
Gorgeous! And your kids will probably love the pumpkin more than the cantaloupe anyway come October .
